I would also love to see a relay race in one long race of each distance all in one straight line. Individuals / teams it doesn’t matter. Horses pass the baton and keeps going. Every class must be represented in each team.

A relay race is not a bad analogy, but better to think of it as we were in a team, the EU, but when we got the baton we refused to hand it to the next player, instead tried to win the race alone, but of course we couldn't compete alone, so lost.
